money, why had she hidden the records?<\/p>\n<p>If Grant had been involved, why had he warned me about Dad?<\/p>\n<p>And if Victor wanted the money, why had he allowed the trust to exist?<\/p>\n<p>Dana suddenly pulled out a page.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRachel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She pointed to a signature.<\/p>\n<p>I knew it know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then I noticed something else.<\/p>\n<p>The signature beneath Grant&#39;s was my father&#39;s.<\/p>\n<p>But the document listed Grant as the beneficiary.<\/p>\n<p>Not Rebecca.<\/p>\n<p>Not me.<\/p>\n<p>Grant.<\/p>\n<p>My stomach turned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy was Grant connected to this before I even met
